A New Chapter Begins

As I reflect on the journey of Genie Juicery, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions – from the humble beginnings in our home kitchens to the rapid expansion across Hong Kong, and now the challenges we’ve faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. But through it all, our passion for delivering the highest quality, freshly made cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and plant-based foods has remained steadfast.

It all started back in 2011 when my best friend Melanie and I, both born and raised in Australia, found ourselves calling Hong Kong home. Working in the city’s thriving fashion industry, we began to feel the toll that the fast-paced lifestyle could take on one’s health. Frustrated by the lack of suitable detox options available at the time, we knew we had to take matters into our own hands. Armed with our certifications as health coaches from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, we set out to revolutionize the way Hong Kongers approached their health and wellness.

From those early days of juicing in our own kitchens, Genie Juicery has grown into a beloved brand that has become a one-stop destination for all things healthy in Hong Kong. We opened our first flagship store in the iconic IFC mall in 2014, offering not just cold-pressed juices, but also smoothies, nut milks, cold brew coffee, and an array of raw, nutrient-dense snacks. The demand for our products was overwhelming, and we quickly found ourselves needing to expand to larger spaces to keep up.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic presented us with unprecedented challenges. Like so many businesses, we were forced to close our retail locations and pivot to an online delivery model. It was a difficult decision, but one that allowed us to continue serving our loyal customers while ensuring the safety of our team.

Now, as we emerge from the shadows of the pandemic, we are excited to embark on a new chapter for Genie Juicery. With the launch of our revamped website, we are thrilled to offer our customers even more options when it comes to our freshly made juices. Gone are the days of being limited to specific cleanse programs – our customers can now customize their orders and enjoy free shipping on any order over $650.

But our commitment to serving the health-conscious community of Hong Kong goes beyond just the products we offer. Melanie and I are deeply passionate about educating and empowering people to make informed choices about their well-being. Through our blog, social media channels, and in-person events, we strive to share our knowledge and inspire others to embrace a holistic approach to health.

As we look to the future, our vision for Genie Juicery is to continue expanding our reach, not just in Hong Kong, but throughout Asia. We know that the demand for high-quality, plant-based products is only growing, and we are determined to be at the forefront of this movement. Whether it’s opening new retail locations or exploring innovative product offerings, our commitment to delivering the best possible experience for our customers will never waver.
